Showcasing the Digital Storytelling Lab
a result of the Erasmus + funded programme: Common Good First – Digital Storytelling for Social Innovation
The University of the Western Cape is one of 11 Universities participating in the programme Common Good First: Digital Storytelling for Social Innovation. This is an Erasmus + funded initiative with the objective of supporting and growing the emerging South African social innovation sector. The project has as aim to create a digital network – Common Good First – that will capture and showcase social impact projects in Northern Europe and South Africa, connecting them to each other and to academics and HEIs in both regions. It furthermore aims at contributing towards digital skills development of Social Innovators and community members. In view of digital inclusion
A establishment of a fully equipped digital storytelling lab is one of many project outcomes of the 3-year programme. UWC has recently received the valuable equipment/apparatus/toolkit and the CoLab for eInclusion and Social Innovation will be the hosts of the digital storytelling lab. We are excited about the latest development and wishes to use this occasion to showcase the lab to all our stakeholders and partners and to share more about the project and how this can be utilised to contribute towards social innovation and social innovators in our network.
