The workshop consists out of two sessions:

Session 1 (morning session): a non-technical introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, with examples from industry 4.0

Session 2 (afternoon session):  technical discussion on the different types of Machine Learning, with practical Python programming examples of neural networks and more. Examples will include applications in health, retail, and image/facial recognition  [How does FaceApp really work?]

Presenter:

Wouter Gevaert, Howest, Belgium

Graduated as electrical engineer. Currently teaching at Howest, University College West Flanders in New Media & Communication Technology (NMCT) and Energy management (ENM).

Also visiting lecturer at Ghent university. His interests are in the field of machine learning, artificial intelligence, audio- and video signal processing and computer vision.
