  • If you think about building a career as a software developer, come and show us what you have got in an exciting 3 day eXplorer Learning Event!

  • We will also help you to identity your career strengths and development areas in the process.

  • Not only will you learn some cool skills, but the top participants will be invited to join our Advanced Explorer Programme!

 

The 10-Month Foundational Programme


After successful completion of three eXplorer Learning Events at UWC 
you may be selected to join the Foundational Programme!

 

The Foundational Programme consists of two integrated short courses:

Introduction to Multi-Platform Software Development

  • Accredited short course

  • Learn C#; .Net and various cloud and mobile technologies

  • Leverage new AI tools and become a better developer...

 

Digital Social Innovation for Impact

  • Accredited short course

  • Learn  User Experience Design, Design Thinking, Agile Project Management and much more...

The Programme also includes

  • An exciting Future-Innovation Challenge capstone project where you can win exciting prizes

  • Opportunities to network and meet key people in the software development ecosystem

  • A strong focus on your development of career-ready life skills

 

Do you qualify?

  • Previously Disadvantaged South African citizen?

  • Between ages of 18 and 35?

  • Available for a Full time Course? (Mon to Fri 08:30 16:30 between Feb 2025-  December 2025)

  • Do you have a Matric certificate? (minimum requirement)

  • Just completed your studies? Currently unemployed?

How do we support you?

 

  • All selected students will receive full tuition waivers, monthly support stipends and access to all course material, software, student support systems and tools.
